ABMS data comes directly from its 24 Member Boards. It is considered Primary Source Verified (PSV) only if sourced from specific products and services designated as an Official ABMS® Display Agent or directly from ABMS or an ABMS Member Board. ABMS Solutions' suite of services is designated as an Official ABMS Display Agent authorized to supply ABMS Data for PSV and non-primary source needs.
The products and services with Official ABMS Display Agent status vary in format, features, functionality, intended application, and data update frequency. Specific guidelines are followed to protect the security and quality of the data and to avoid confusion between ABMS data and other self-reported data.
Reports from these services that include complete certification histories and effective and expiration dates for certification meet the PSV requirements set by The Joint Commission, NCQA, URAC and other accrediting organizations. Dates that cannot be verified through the use of the product due to aging data (gaps in update frequency) will not be valid for verification of current board certification status.
